What do the 'listing' and 'let search engines find your blog' settings do?

What do the 'listing' and 'let search engines find your blog' settings do?
The Add your blog to our listings? setting determines whether or not your blog will be linked to from Blogger.com -- more specifically, the Blogger homepage, Blogger Play, and Next Blog. If you select 'No,' your blog won't appear in these places, but it will still be available on the Internet. This blog will still be displayed on your profile unless you hide it by deselecting the relevant checkbox on the Set Displayed Blog page.

The Let search engines find your blog? setting determines whether or not your blog will be included in Google Blog Search and if it will ping Weblogs.com. If you select 'No,' everyone can still view your blog but search engines will be instructed not to crawl it.
You can find these settings on the Settings | Basic page

How can I protect my username and password?

Anytime you're preparing to sign into your Blogger account, whether it's to modify your blog or to make a comment on someone else's blog, do not sign in if you're at all unsure about the link that sent you to Blogger. Unfortunately, there are individuals who may attempt to obtain your login information by distributing links to fake or "spoofed" versions of the Blogger homepage or comment pages. These versions of Blogger's pages are not authorized by Blogger, but will try to appear as authentic as possible.
Always check your browser's address bar to make sure the proper URL is displayed. If it doesn't start with "http://www.blogger.com/", do not enter your username or password. Close your browser immediately, as an imitation or "spoofed" Blogger page may try to initiate an unsolicited download that could harm your computer.
The safest way to enter Blogger is to type the URL to Blogger (http://www.blogger.com) in your browser's address bar directly. Typing the correct URL is the best way to be sure that you're not redirected to a spoofed site.
Please be safe with your login information

How can I block access to NextBlog on my network?

If you're a network administrator, you can prevent users on your network from accessing random blogs via the NextBlog feature in the Navbar. All you have to do is restrict access to this specific URL:

http://www.blogger.com/next-blog?navBar=truee

The rest of Blogger and BlogSpot will still function normally, even with this URL blocked.

Will my use of Blogger be associated with my use of other Google services
